Thursday, August 25, 2005 BBC NEWS Europe:
"'Had the Americans known about it, this could have damaged the subtle strategy,' Mr Scelli told Italy's Rai radio after speaking to a newspaper."

Now this is VERY interesting. This is from an article entitled "Italy 'did deal to free hostages.'" I'd reccomend reading it, and if you please, posting your comments about it here. I personaly think Mr. Scelli is probably correct.

I also found the last paragraph interesting. Even more than the one above.
