I'm Back... Away?
Monday, September 05, 2005
well, I'm back from vaction. It was a load of fun. I'm also away again. Ok, not quite the same as before, this time I'm just at Grandma's for a few days.

Now, I would talk all about vaction, but I'm going to wait for two reasons. 1) To keep you in suspence and force you to come back. 2) Beacuse I want to show picutres of it and they are at home.
I'll still talk a bit about it however, and I'll talk about some other stuff too.

I love the beach. I could sit and look out at the ocean for hours, if it weren't for the tide filling my swim trunks with sand. I got a lot of pictures. Birds, the ocean, us. We went all over the place. We visited the Battleship North Carolina, Fort Fisher, The Aquarium at Fort Fisher, and the Beach, as well as sevral resturants and what not. We took a ferry from Kure Beach, where we stayed, to Southport. There we took a trolly tour of the historic (and expensive) town. We also visited a maritime museum there. Full details, pictures, and my ramblings will be online when I get the chance. Probably an upcomming weekend. Maybe not this one, though, as I'll be at King's Island... Perhaps I'll post more story tommrow night and worry about the pictures later.

Now, I should probably talk about the situation in New Orleans, and that whole area. Sadly, I don't have too much to say about it. Watching the news reports about it makes me sick, half beacuse of the horror, half beacuse of the morons delivering the news and the morons they interview.

I would also talk about gas prices. But I don't drive.

Another huge reason I'm not going to devote too much time to either of these subjects is that every other person on earth will. There are a lot of people who know more (and less) about these issues than myself, and thus I'll leave the talking about them to them. If, however, I find any partiularly interesting people talking about it, I'll link to them. Here's one to start, it's nn eyewittness account of the situation in Mississippi: http://www.sundayherald.com/51631

I could also ramble about World Youth Day, but I wan't there, and haven't finished reading all the articles on it yet, so instead I'll post a link: http://cathcon....wyd-mass.html
It's another blog's lovely entry on World Youth Day. Sarcasm: I really wish I could have gone.
Also, here are a few pictures I've found of the event:

The first two are from the offical WYD site (the horse's mouth), the third from the BBC.

A few more links for you all:

Ok, not much to see here, but I've seen this guy put his sauce on cornbread. In person.

Anyway, that's all for this moment, more vacation, work problems, opinions, ramblings, rantings, and Perpetual Thursdays later.

P.S. Albert Skimberd fans, get ready for Albert Skimberd - AFTER THE STORM, comming soon.
