Hoots?
Thursday, January 05, 2006
Before I begin allow me to thank Hazel for cheering my last post up by using the words "burn in Hell," in that order, in her comment on it.

Today was an intresting day at the Perfect North Slopes Tubing Park.

Interesting is a great word, beacuse it can mean anything.

In this case it refers to a day on which all the staff are given Sesame Street nicknames to use over the walkie-talkies. I was Hoots.Who? Exactly. Ouch, that was corney. But I looked him up, and Hoots is indeed an owl from Sesame Street. According to this list. (As a side, notice that that's on Stanford's web site. Wow, what a fantastic school.) Hazel, for those who read her blog, was Zoey, a female version of Elmo who can speak Spanish. Woot.

Speaking of Woot... They didn't let Quezon and I win, again. We've entered 3 Woot.com contests after the one I posted about already. So I'm going to show of my entries here, beacuse none of them won.

First - Design a Woot food product. Our design was Wooto brand Woofles. The full ad is here. With this post there is a close up of our detailed box.

Second - Design an item that would make Santa more effecient. Our idea eliminated all elves, most reindeer (beacuse the sliegh is now lighter), and all bulky presents: Gift cards. The image is also with this post.

Third and last - Design the use this chocolate maker fondue pot thing will have in the future. Our entry was an escape pod from H2G2, as also shown in an image in this post.

Ok, back to my day at the Tubing Park... We got to play on the radios today, discussing how woman should stay home, cook, clean, raise kids, and that's it. True. Though some of the guys seemed to be agreeing just to annoy poor Sarah, or Oscar the Grouch. Also, we all voted on our favorite movies in many generes. As well as our favorite bands. And old TV shows. Saved by the Bell, Full House, Captain Planet, the Tellytubbies, Barney... Ok, so we talked about a lot of children's shows too. Anyone rembemer CaptianPlanet? How about Gulla Gulla Island? Snoozles?

Alright, I'm done babbling for now. More later, as well as an update on Durza.
