" They who dream by day are cognizant of many things
which escape those who dream only by night."
- Edgar Allen Poe
I'm blogging. This is complete and utter proof I've lost it. It's all slipping away from me. Oh, well. It was bound to happen. I'm currently at work on sevral projects - Script Edition 2 for the Captian Happy Show, sevral short stories, schoolwork, the next News of the Future, my job, and of course collecting Albert Skimberd's newest entries.
I have recently read "The Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym of Nantucket" by Edgar Allen Poe, and heavily reccomend it to anyone looking for a good read who isn't afraid of something rather "deep." There are quite a few opinions about the significance of the ending, but I myself have not yet decided where my opinion lies. The book's early stages are a fantastic adventure story, esp. for those who enjoy seafaring stories. Near the end it becomes very strange and unreal, leading up to a sudden stop in the last episode. I quite enjoyed it, and think it may be my favorite of Poe's stories, next prehaps only to "Some Words With a Mummy" and/or "The Fall of the House of Usher."
Now for you video gamers out there, I've got a treat: (Binary Zoo is sadly no more, linm removed) mono, DUO, and DUOtris are fantastic. I have seldom found games of such high quality, amazing addictiveness, and, err... good soundgraphicgamelyness... *ahem* Anyway, they are all great (graphics, sound, playability), origional, and free games, so I'd heavily reccomend trying them out.
Also, to those who care, DURZA is still chugging along. Slowly.
Okay, now a few days ago I said I would comment on the "That's My Ronald" post. I lied. I really, truly thought that I could come up with something funny in that time, but I couldn't, so that's that.
I've recently devloped a strange desire to listen to a lot of Enya and Moby. I don't know why, but I have. I've also discovered the "Galexy Song" by Monty Python. That's funny stuff.
All for now, more later, and I mean it this time...
I will read it. I promise. You didn't tell me it had sea-faring adventures in it! I LOVE reading about people at sea.
Very nice quote, although I've seen it before. It's better the second time, and it's also true, which is always a good thing.
