Turin or Torino?
Thursday, February 16, 2006
I found this National Geographic article interesting, as it answered one of my questions. SoI'm posting it for those others who also were wondering.

From "Turin" to "Torino": Olympics Put New Name on the Map: "Known throughout the English-speaking world as Turin, the city in Italy (map) that's hosting this month's 2006 Winter Olympics is officially called Torino, in keeping with a decision by the IOC."
