Saving Private Toby
Thursday, April 27, 2006
EDIT: Fixed link to WorldNetDaily.

Savetoby.com | Only YOU have the power to Save Toby!: "Toby is the cutest little bunny on the planet. Unfortunately, he will DIE on November 6th, 2006 if you don.t help."

Ok, now before I'm bombarded with "It's a hoax" Comments, like those all over Amazon.com's page for the Save Toby Book, let me say that I know it's a hoax. That's why I'm making note of it.

I've known about Toby for a while (at first the were looking for $50,000, instead of book sales), and never really took it seriously. It's a joke, and it's funny, right?

Well, if you went to Amazon then you'll see that not everyone thinks so. Just read the product reviews. Or, better yet, go to Savetoby.com, find their news page, and read their Hate Mail. That's funny. (Warning: The Hate Mail on Savetoby.com can be pretty rude, so I wouldn't recommend reading it with little kids around.)

These days people just can't seem to take a joke, can they?

We're having hardwood floors put in our house soon, and you know what that means... Ok, so maybe you don't. I'll tell you: moving EVERYTHING around and putting it back and all kinds of flipping similar stuff. Prime example: I just spend four hours buring the cat... wait... that's one hour re-hooking up the computer in the family room. Thankfully, Quezon and Dad un-hooked it, but still, re-hooking it is a pain in the aft end.

Father Saguto is going to be giving a lecture on Monday, May 15. Entitled "Never the Twain Shall Meet: Rock Music and Holiness of Life," it will take place from 7:00-9:00 PM in the schoolhouse at Sts. Cecilia and Philomena. For driving directions go to www.stceciliaofrome.com.
Sounds like fun to me, considering I've held arguements about this before (fighting on the anti-rock side). You can read the remnants of one at: http://alternative-internet.com/messageboards/viewtopic.php?t=41
The beginning is missing, but it's still there.

Now I've got a sneak peak for visitors of Alternative Internet, especially ones who read Albert Skimberd. Albert isn't dead after all. But he is missing in action, so to speak. Be on the lookout the May for the Albert Skimberd Rescue Mission. A top team of experts (sort-of) have been assembled to find and save Albert. These are the best in their class (not-really) people, lords of their profession (not-at-all). Through their skill Albert will surely be saved (highely-unlikely). But anyway, you get my point. Albert is still out there, and at last someone is looking for him.

He's doomed.

Ok, now for bad, unhappy, horrible news. WARNING: THE FOLLOWING IS NOT APPROPIATE FOR ANYONE UNDER THE AGE OF 16 UNLESS WITH PARENTAL GUIDENCE!

Ok, then. That's it. Yes. I know. I'm not even going to bother commenting on it.

Yes, I'm outraged.

Yes, I'm offended.

No, I'm not going say any more.

That's enough for the moment...

Save Toby. Old news. The end.

Floors. More old news. You forgot to mention, though, that more dust than you ever knew or wanted to know existed will soon be in your house.Muhahahahah!

The link to the innapropriate thing is bad. It takes you to the AI 404 page. Or is that it?

Affectionately and feedbackly yours,
Emily.

P.S. Re-reading that dialogue, I'm more surprised than ever that it made sense.

P.P.S. It's also making me proud of myself. I'm a proper woman after all! Wait till I tell Mum! Apparently, I really can multitask! Whee!
