Beer, Pencils, Death, and more..
Wednesday, December 13, 2006

What do a fat man, a kitty, and death have in common? Well, until I saw Death Kitty and the Fat Man, I thought nothing. Now I realize that together, these three things create a fantastic flash cartoon by animation Megat Diam posted on Weelbs-stuff.com.

So where do pencils fit in here? They don't, but they do fit in at designboom's page showing off the Faber-Castell 100th birthday exhibit, where you can see pictures of a table, chair, and lamp made from pencils, as well as an image of the worlds oldest surviving pencil.

As if anyone needed a reason: a study at the Catholic University of Campobasso in Italy has shown that men who drink four beers a day (and women who drink two glasses) live longer, says CathNews.com. Break out the homebrew!

Occasionally I read the Onion online, self-proclaimed as "America's Finest News Source." If you've never heard of it, the Onion is a news source that features satirical news stories instead of real news. Though I haven't read the full article, I got a kick out of a recent headline and the picture that accompanied the article: Egyptian Conservationists Fight to Protect Dwindling Mummy Population.

To wrap up my lineup of fun tidbits, I've got an image I made. A while ago I downloaded "America's Army," a computer game created by the U.S. Army to help gain new recruits. I don't plan on joining the army, but I had heard the game was fun, so I though I would try it.

Well, the game stinks. It makes you go through tons of idiotic training that is plenty usefully in the real world, but silly in a game. Plus, the training is so hard/boring, I never got through to the actual game. So, of course, I uninstalled it.

When I clicked the Uninstall button, however, I got a popup message that read: "Are you sure you want to remove America's Army from your computer?" Well, this message inspired me, so with a quick edit I came up with this:

So there you have it. To wrap up this post, I wanted to show off a video I uploaded to YouTube staring in little brother Andrew. Head over to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ByjqgDsQLkk and check out Andrew's moves. If you don't at least chuckle, you aren't human.
